空間座標上の3点 $3$\displaystyle{\text{A}\left({ 1,1,- 2 }\right)}$ ， $3$\displaystyle{\text{B}\left({ 1,- 1,2 }\right)}$ ， $3$\displaystyle{\text{C}\left({ 2,2,1 }\right)}$ を通る平面の方程式を求めよ．

点 $3$\displaystyle{ \text{A} $ \hspace{1}{x}_{1},\hspace{1}{y}_{1},\hspace{1}{z}_{1} $ }$ を通り，法線ベクトル $3$\displaystyle{ {n}\limits^{\longrightarrow }= $ a,b,c $ }$ の平面の方程式は

$3$\displaystyle{ a $ x- \hspace{1}{x}_{1} $ +b $ y- \hspace{1}{y}_{1} $ +c $ z- \hspace{1}{z}_{1} $ =0 }$ 　 (点 $3$\displaystyle{ \text{A} $ \hspace{1}{x}_{1},\hspace{1}{y}_{1},\hspace{1}{z}_{1} $ }$ を通る)

を用いる．

$3$\displaystyle{ {n}\limits^{\longrightarrow }\bot{ AB }\limits^{\longrightarrow } }$ より

$3$\displaystyle{ {n}\limits^{\longrightarrow }\cdot { AB }\limits^{\longrightarrow }=0 }$ ， $3$\displaystyle{ $ a,b,c $ \cdot $ 0,- 2,4 $ =0 }$ ， $3$\displaystyle{- 2b+4c=0}$ ， $3$\displaystyle{b=2c}$ 　･･････(1)

$3$\displaystyle{ {n}\limits^{\longrightarrow }\bot{ AC }\limits^{\longrightarrow } }$ より

$3$\displaystyle{ {n}\limits^{\longrightarrow }\cdot { AC }\limits^{\longrightarrow }=0 }$ ， $3$\displaystyle{ $ a,b,c $ \cdot $ 1,1,3 $ =0}$ ， $3$\displaystyle{a=- 5c}$ 　･･････(2)

(1)，(2)より

$3$\displaystyle{ a:b:c=- 5:2:1 }$

となる．

よって，求める方程式は
